A professional body representing all the CI centres and other specialist medical practitioners working in the field of cochlear implantation throughout the UK.

CIICA

This is a global community of cochlear implant users, family advocacy groups and individuals who support the shared vision of closing the global gap in cochlear implant provision and ensuring lifelong support for all who benefit.

Euro-CIU

EURO-CIU (The European Association of Cochlear Implant Users) is a non-governmental and non-profit association, established in Luxembourg in 1995. EURO-CIU consists of national member associations from across Europe and represents around 220,000 cochlear implant (CI) users, approximately 60% of whom are adults and 40% children.

EURO-CIU ‘s mission is to increase access to the gift of hearing provided by cochlear implantation through awareness and research.

Home Counties Cochlear Implant Group (HCCIG)

This former group and independent charity has now formally disbanded but continues to meet and organise trips as a socIal group only.

Meetings take place at Central London venues.

It continues to welcome everyone, family and friends who are hearing impaired or have a cochlear implant.

National Cochlear Implant Users Association

The NCIUA was established to provide practical support to implant users, their family and friends. It encourages best practice in the provision of cochlear implants, rehabilitation, aftercare and appropriate educational opportunities for children, campaigns to increase awareness of the benefits of cochlear implants, liaises with CI manufacturers and fosters and maintains links with related organisations.
